Potential 09 135i Owner - am I getting a good deal?
Well Id first like to say hello to all of the members on this board. Ive been a car enthusiast for quite some time and have messed around with alot of different makes and models but had the most exposure with Hondas and an 04GTO. I had been looking for 335i coupes but happened to come across a special 135i coupe that caught my eye and it really had every option that I had been looking for. I took too long to decide I wanted the car after I struck up a tentative offer and then the car "sold" but today I drove past the lot and the car was back as the deal fell through. So, now I have an opportunity to buy the car and have until tomorrow morning to decide if I want to pull the trigger. Im normally a pretty thorough researcher of something I want to buy to help me determine if Im getting a good deal or not but the 135i has been a challenge to gauge. I thought this site and the members might be a good resource for input. Without further delay, heres the rundown of the car in question.
09 BMW 135i - just under 15k miles Alpine White Coral Red Interior 6 spd Appears to have all of the BMW carbon fiber interior trim pieces Navi M logo on steering wheel and shift knob - M pkg? Ipod hookup Premium package Sport Package Not sure what other pkgs it might have but it has sat radio and the SOS button on the headliner so I think thats an option as well. Car is in excellent condition with only a small section of scratches on the side of the front bumper near the bottom. Made offer of 33k including tax and dealer accepted. My state's tax rate is 7% so I think if I did the math correctly the selling price would be $30690. Decent deal? Thanks in advance for the input. Regards, Lucas |

Id have to check on the headliner, I wasnt sure what determined if it was a M package or not. It's at a BMW dealership but not being sold as a CPO. Honestly, unless I fall in love with the car and want to own it forever I doubt Ill own it 3.5 yrs from now or at 50k. What gives a car the CPO title?

SixSigma, the way to get the market value of your car is to go to Kelly's Blue Book web site and punch in your mileage, options, condition, and type of sale.
But anyhow, you pulled the trigger, and the combo of white/coral/carbon fiber sounds awesome! Pics are mandatory... |
