Invoice for 2011 M3 E92?

Okay so I'm form New Jersey and about to purchase a 2011 M3, the price with my options comes out to $72,325 MSRP, how can I calculate my estimated invoice?

Will a dealer try to sell it to me at $72,000?

Thanks a lot.

Ummm, it's more I believe. If you built it online, it usually doesn't consider taxes and whatever other fees there may be.

I was looking at a 2011 M3 w/ MSRP 73055 and it was offered to me at 68165 ($500 over invoice) in NJ. You can do much better.

$500 - $1,500 over invoice is the norm these days. People getting $500 over invoice are getting *stellar* deals, $1,500 is still a very nice deal FYI.

People: It's no secret, David Aviles, a long-time board member here, will sell you the car at invoice. Why pay anything more?

I don't understand how dealers let cars go for invoice when they make no money on them (rebates and bonuses from BMW NA, aside).

And how David makes money is also a mystery when letting cars go at invoice.

If you can get it at invoice, great, but $500 - $1500 is the norm and considered a great deal.

i asked him that question, he told me he gets a bonus from bmw if he can sell a certain amount of m3, and he also gets a free trip to the PCD.

I ordered from David at invoice also. Gonna do a PCD and drive back from SC in July. If you live in NJ, then picking up near DC isn't so bad either if you can get a ride down. Can't wait!!!!!

Buddy at the dealership told me that selling cars for invoice is tough because they are paid on comission but, if they sell a certain number of cars, they get a bonus. Must be a nice bonus since he is not making any money from the actual sale

its all about the number of units more so then the amount you make on the unit sometime. Depends on what special incentives BMW has for its employees that month

Thanks for confirming it! I was like kaykay in thinking anywhere from 500 to 1500 is normal and was shooting for 1000.

I'm from NJ too. If interested, PM me. My dealer should be able to get you a 2011 for 100-500 above invoice.

Good luck.
