Air Conditioning Failure, Again.

I have an 08 135i. I live in Phoenix, its hot. My A/C has gone out now for the 4th time! I am seriously pissed and worried about the future of my A/C unit and my car. All of the coolant leaks out from the system, you can even smell it inside the car, than shorty after it blows hot air all day, worse than the outside which is sometimes 112 degrees.

Any suggestions on what you would do? New car? Lemon law? I dont know at this point, anything at all would help.

At least they gave me a brand new 335i loaner with the new twin power engine...

I had that problem with my 2005 MR2. The refrigerant would all leak out by mid-summer, and it would just stop working. Each time, they'd tell me they "tightened the hoses" and refilled it. It would do the same thing again a few months later. This went on for FOUR YEARS.

Toyota was no help - their rep was a first-class horse's ass. He told me "It's normal to have to refill your refrigerant every year." I suspect the EPA would have had something to say about that!

I finally went to arbitration and Toyota lost. They replaced the compressor, and guess what - it never leaked again.

Sounds like your dealer is "learning" how to repair the ac system on your car!

I think I would look into a lemon lawer or in the least go seek the regional service manager from BMW NA. Something is causing your ac system to run too high pressures and blow out a seal or an ac component.

Just had my first AC failure

Well I live in AZ as well and yes it is hot. My AC starting losing it's chill over the past week and today it went hot. Have an appointment for the latest seatbelt item recall Monday so hopefully they can fix this. If it isn't the radio then it is the AC...2 things I can't live without....I feel your pain!
