With the options you listed, MSRP is ~$69k and invoice is ~$63k. You paid about $4k over invoice. Most deals considered "good" are up to $1500 over invoice. You shouldn't be putting anything as a down payment on a lease.

+1. You can do a lot better as far as the purchase price. And if you want to put money down to lower the payment, ask your CA about Multiple Security Deposits (MSDs). Do a search to learn more as the topic has been discussed at length here and on the 5er boards. Generally speaking, putting money down as cap cost reduction is a bad idea because you lose the down payment in the event of a total loss.

And the security deposits are equal to your projected monthly payment rounded to the nearest $50. The security deposits are fully refundable at the end of the lease less any excess wear charges.

A good deal would be car at invoice, but up to 1 k over invoice would be a pretty good deal not 4 k over invoice. On a lease never put money down even put your taxes in payment. Only money you should put down if you want is as said above MSDs. From what I know any money used as a down payment if anything happenes to car stolen and not recovered or totaled you lost your down payment. Just put up the fees bank, dest, ect. |

Zero down (drive off includes 1st month, $725 acquisition, security, license fees ~$50), $718 per month on a $67.5K coupe. ED though. IMHO worth the flight to Munich. Scrap ED, zero down and $810 per month is where you want to be. Your deal is not bad, its a rip off*.
If DCT reduces residual, then maybe my numbers a re bit off. They also assume 10K per year. But that is only 1%... |
