G4 boost control change
Hey guys,
One of the changes with the G4 board is the boost targeting is absolute instead of floating like it is with the G3. Meaning that instead of targeting a certain percentage over the stock target it will now target a specific PSI curve. So no more dropping boost in cold weather, hitting 14psi some days, 16psi others, and not knowing why, etc. Originally BMS wasn't sure if it would be possible with the G4 and was going to save it for the PRO board, but after a few late nights has come up with a great new algorithm based on a variety of CAN data. Of course the PSI target will still vary based on a variety of inputs (or not, if you prefer), and is nicely reflected in the new 'target' parameter. Here is a short log of some WOT runs concatenated together from early in the testing. Before the feed-forward system was added to the PID. Mike |

I am picking my JB3 up at the post office today. Can't wait for the G4 upgrade.
