BBS Motorsports BMW GT4 RE Race wheels - First Look - ( photos and specs )

BBS Motorsports BMW GT4 RE Race wheels

Through our close relationship with BBS Motorsports Department, GT Motoring has been able to get just a few sets of the BMW GT4 spec Motorsports RE Competion Racing wheels! These wheels are very hard to come by and only made in limited quantities. The original photos of the BMW GT4 program car even used CH wheels at the time and not the correct RE wheel!

The wheels were developed for BMW Motorsports competition use on their GT4 spec racing program cars as well as the current generation GT4 E92 M3. Designed to take the abuse of extreme circuit and endurance racing, you can be sure this wheel can take all that you can throw at it. This is a Racing use wheel officially, though still tested to the same super high standards of BBS road wheels.

Wheel Specs:
18x10 +40 -21.5 lbs (use 18mm spacer for rear)
18x9.5 +25 -21.3 lbs

Studio shots we took of the wheels and details!

Detail shots

Excellent choice! We just sold some RE's for center lock GT3 RS recently to one of our customers as well. Share some pics once yours are mounted up on the Porsche

Are these wheels magnesium or aluminum? Will they be able to survive street usage? Please pm me a price.

wow they look amazing and the specs are certainly for the track oriented driver.

So all you need is spacer in the rear to fit this? What's the recommended tire sizes?

It is an Aluminum wheel. They are not submitted for road certification, though The wheels are as strong as, or stronger than most of their road wheels.

I would recomend or 265 front and 285 rear for these wheels. I personally would be working to fit a 275 front and 285 rear tire.

That is also an RE wheel design, but a forged center lock design.

I thought there were like 4 dealers in the US that could get the GT4 parts. Why weren't the wheels built with a proper offset?

As above. If these wheels were developed by BBS in conjunction with BMW for the GT4, why do they need an 18mm spacer?

The wheels were developed for BMW Motorsports competition use on their GT4 spec racing program cars as well as the current generation GT4 E92 M3.

This goes for ALL GT4 spec BMWs and other road racing series running BMW model cars that can use this fitment. Even the GT4 racing car used a spacer in back. They had to make the wheels so that it could be a flexible program, and also to be able to get the cost to a reasonable level for this kind of wheel.
