2011 E93 ordered - Just in time for Spring
Placed an order today for a convertible - just under the wire to get the expiring holiday cash and currently very favorable lease terms. Looking at a late February delivery - closer to top down weather on east coast. Will be my 4th M car and 7th BMW over last 23 years. Have veered away over the years from BMW, but the M lure is a force hard to fight.
Car will be Jerez Black with Fox Red Extended, DCT All options less auto headlights, comp pkg and smartphone adapter. Looking at week 6 production. Production number currently shows a different car slot before change. Although dreading the wait, the closer to spring the better. Will make this winter more bearable knowing when winter is breaking it will be crazy fun. Thanks for the valuable information here.

Was told my salesman that was what was currently scheduled for the car slot they changed into my M3. There was no notification on web site as it just says on order with the wrong car still with the production number on the new order. He said with holiday, it may be a week or so before any changes or updates. Sure hope the upcoming 6NR option on 3/2011 is software upgradeable with the new Comboxes (6VC) in our cars. Hate to have missed it by a few weeks.
Congrats on your car too.

Your CA knows now. The 800 number will eventually tell you a few weeks prior to production.
