DCT. How to get in Neutral
There is an insex bolt under the the gearstick handle so you can tow or move the car if battery gone flat. Turn the bolt 1/4 anticlockwize and P should disengage! BUT it doesnt! My black beauty sleeps now and i don't want to wake her up until spring. BUT i need to move her a litle bit and according to my manual it is a piece of cake..........more of a kaka as it doesnt work!
Anyone? |

Hello Maniac, I have tried to do this with "ign on" and "off". Door open and closed. In "radiomode" and so on.............One thing i forgot to test is with the top on.............. Nothing works........... It is so annoying...............and thinking of when and if this happends when you need the car to be towed.............i'm screwed. Have to wait until end of May to see if there is something wrong with the mechanism or me. |

I am thinking it's better to let her stand still in the garage wellvented at 15C than to start her up as I have no possibility to drive until both engine and gearbox comes up to workingtemp. Better she sit there with the bodycover and Ctek charger on until spring comes. I changed oil and filter and boosted the tire-pressure. Still would like to move her now and then so the lousy RTF don't get squared. There are many ideas about "long-parking" a car and who knows what is really the best way? Consider the temp-difference garage/outside can be up to 45-50C! Any suggestions? shadow4 |
