opinons?
soooo i think i may have FINALLY settled on some wheels for my 130... problems is they only come in 19's.. do you think 19 is too big for a small car like the 130 or will it look ok?
i will be getting the exact same set up as jzhang's 135 VMR V701 19 x 8.5 ET45 front and 19 x 9.5 ET45 rear will also probably splurge and grab a coilover set up too and mayyybe some camber plates.. will have to start getting prices and selling up my shares |

You would need to roll and cut your fenders and add a lot of camber in there. If you're lowered it would be really tight. Good luck, I think it looks great though.

I Like them, really hope they fit mate. As I have said to someone else on here lately, 19's are really an aggressive considering the 1M has had the guards extended to fit the same size rim.

I measured up this exact combination for my 130i and it should fit but you'll need to roll guards and possibly pull them as well. It'll look terrible if you don't lower the car so I'd get the coilovers first and then take it to the body shop and get them to make the car fit the wheels. Shoot me a pm if you need a contact for the body work.

Cant wait to see this, should look good. Just aim for a tyre that gives the closest possible combination to the standard rim/tyre diamater. That way, the car wont look jacked even though its lowered, theres nothing worse than that.

Great news for you OP! We do have 18x8.5 +45's coming in very soon. 18x9.5 +50's are already available.
No fender rolling or modifications required with a 225/255 tire setup. -Charles@VMRWheels

OP - the V701s are hawttt. You won't regret it. There's a second hand set for sale on the e90post forums but then just remember the offsets are different. |

in regards to lowering do you think i could get away with "better" struts and lowered springs from someone like bilstein rather than going all out and getting coils if i have no intention to track my car etc as there seems to be a BIG difference in pricing of said components

If your getting out there with offset and modyfing guards, coilovers are handy as you can play with height settings if things start to scrub, whereas the coventional shock and spring has a set height. |

yeh i have been talking to a few of my mates about this and i have come to the conclusion that coilovers are best for the same reason, i have sent a few emails so it will be interesting to see what response i get... any recommendations of aussie suppliers OTHER than Southern?
