Calipers & Diffuser: Painted!

Hi guys,

Firstly, huge shout to bmroxm5 who did the work on my car on Sunday. No less than a few hours and did a fantastic job!

So, Stu did two things:

1. Calipers now red (contrast the crappy 207M's well now, i'm a fan)
2. Metallic black rear apron (changed from the hideous OEM grey - inspired by Zuzu!)

Here are the pics (thanks again to bmwroxm5 for the pics).. Also some VMR 19s lying around which we put on Christine as a test fitment. I know completely understand the difference in offset between the e9x's and the e8x's!

Hell yes.

Nah the look is quite nice. You can see them really well behind the 207M's and it's not really stand-out-ish like on sparsely spoked wheels. I'm really like the change.

Still haven't had a good chance to check out the diffuser.

Stay posted! I think Jeef Beef will be attempting this with bmroxm5's help in the not too distant future.

Painted diffuser looks sooooooo much better. Especially on light coloured cars.

Yep... I've got yellow atm, wanted to go gold, like Jeff will be going, but now I'm torn cause I quite like the yellow (and the yellow calipers on the Ferrari 458 look awesome!!!)

Yeah... bought a new one. Car was only 3 weeks old and I couldn't handle the idea of driving around without half the rear skirt for a week while it got painted. Only cost me $160 from BMW Brisbane.

It's a 696...

Rofl, I'm flattered. I don't think I charge enough to sustain a Garage anywhere other than my err.. Garage.

I'm all about getting things done to a budget!

Tay's diffuser cost $10 tops to paint and about 1hr. 1hr =6beers.
Calipers are 2hours (excluding drying time) and that's about $50..

SBC I can backdate an invoice for you for installing your scoops .. But I think you already paid me with an oporto meal lol.

Getting a bit dodgy with the backdating.

Also should mention that bmroxm5's after sales service is great too. He came around again with tools to my place to fix the scoops with screws.

Only dodgy job so far are those smoked lights...
