VT625 ESS Supercharger 60-130 VBox Result
Finally got a chance to do some 60-130 Vbox pulls with the 7.5pulley (VT625), I did this run on the VT575 91 octane only tune, I was running a 91/100 mix, approx. 95 octane, with no meth on this run, the VT625 does not require Meth I only run it as an option, it needs a minimum 93 octane though. I was on Street tires, RE 11's and full weight.
Will do more soon, but I'm happy with this one at 7.5psi and 95 octane fuel on street tires. Here is a list to compare with as well. *All the below times were sourced from 6speedonline, Dragtimes, and personally received Vbox files - 7.1 - E92 M3 DCT, ESS VT625 Supercharger, 7.5psi, ESS DCT software 7.2 - 997.2TT PDK, ECU Tune 7.3 - Porsche Carrera GT 7.3 - Ferrari Enzo 7.7 - CTS-V with 8.6" pulley, CAI, LS7 ported TB, headers w/ cats, heat exchanger 7.7 - Stock Ferrari 458 Italia 7.7 - Stock 997.2 PDK, Turbo S 7.7 - GT-R / 640 HP (downpipes, y-pipe, BC, hard IC pipes, custom tune) 7.7 - Shelby GT500, Kenne Bell, 700+ rwhp, 1-shift 7.7 - 997.2TT PDK ECU Flash 7.8 - Lamborghini LP640, stock, 2-shifts 7.8 - Chevrolet Corvette C6 Z06, stock, 2-shifts 7.8 - Chevrolet Corvette ZR1

Quick question, Drew did you start reeling in the Z06?
Im just like confused cuz your getting the same times as you did with your Gintani Stage 2+, but you pulled hard with your old kit, and in the video seems you just hung in there with the ESS... I know the Z06 got the jump, but did you start creeping up? (cant tell from vid) (disclaimer: not trying to start a war im just trying to understand lol, because times and vid arent adding up) anyways, VERY IMPRESSIVE! |

Actually they make complete sense when you look at the specifics. Here's the deal with that vid, he edged me out before he let off, chalk it up as a good kill! It's happened before with the other kit as well, the Z06 owner has stated this on the forums he frequents and posts with regards to results with the other kit. Here's the reality for those who care about these things, we were on the way down to Mfest. The Z06 recently installed straightpipes, lost about 45 lbs. with that mod, he has a passenger and some luggage. I had a passenger and some luggage too, but also Drag Radials in the trunk, along with tools, jack, etc. that he doesn't, we are certainly not at the same specs we were before, lol. I have more weight than he does by far, and he's lost some weight with the exhaust, where before he had that extra weight. When I ran him before @ 9.5psi, there were many times he'd get the jump and I'd have to reel him in and it took some time, lol, sometimes I never did because he'd let off before I could, fair enough. He's a very good driver, and was right in his sweet spot in that run, he got a great jump. So he edged me out in this run we'll rerun without the extra weight and for a longer duration. You have to realize I'm running only 6psi in the new vid, not 7.5psi, as I am here with this recent 7.18 Vbox pull, but certainly not running 9psi as I was with the other kit. Now, my ESS kit at 6psi, is not as fast as my Gintani kit at 9.5psi, I never claimed it would be, and why would someone make that analogy in the first place, I'm not done yet, I just put the 7.5 pulley on when we arrived at the track in Vegas for Mfest. Regardless 7.4s 60-130 at 6psi, is not that far behind the other kit at 8-9psi. It's perfectly fine to compare things, but when someone wants to compare a few comparo video's, 1/4 mile times and then they decide to leave out all the important details like DA, conditions, and specific details like weight differences, gas, boost level, mods, etc, it doesn't make a lot of sense, so I appreciate your questions, hope that clarifies it a bit.

They are talking about you over there. There is a guy "italianstallion" who says he ran you recently in his modded GTR and he beat you pretty bad. Quote: "The runs against the ESS M3 was a mockery." True or not true? Not trying to start a war. Just wanting to hear your side of things.

Awesome times Drew! I knew you would not wait long to get out there with the 7.5 pulley on! It is also nice that you explain all the details that goes into the runs as there are so many people that need this clarification.
That time is really moving! Great runs! I need this smaller pulley NOW, I'm going to stop beating around the bush and put in for my upgrade and finally order a VBox too!
