downpipes, midpipes...

Hey everybody!
So my car has the factory BMW performance exhaust. What sort of gains are you guys getting with the down pipes. And is it possible or necessary to do mid-pipes with my car?
Currently I have in intake (doesn't do much but I enjoy the sound)
AA BOV
JB+

Should my next move be an intercooler? Or DPs? or Other?
I've got the power bug... now I can never have enough.

Thanks

If I am not mistaken, "catless" DPs will yield more power than a front mount. Not sure which you are looking for. I would say go for the FMIC if you are at all considering doing catted DPs.

There's no such thing as an 05 Exige S or even Exige. Exige started in 06 and was NA. 07 was the first Exige S.

Thanks for the link though, why are the AP numbers so low? Seems like there's no difference between a stock car with the AP and a stock car with AP and the supporting exhaust mods.

I am interested as well. Similar set-up stock DP/midpipes and BMW perf exhaust.
I'm running JB4 not accessport and am researching FMICs.

I am interested in doing catted DPs, already have the CP-e midpipes (no cats) but want to make sure the set-up isn't as loud as my 2010 Mini-S with no cat, straight pipe and a muffler.

interesting. I had an 05 mini S.
Seems like there are alot of Mini owners that are now in the 135. We like the smaller cars...that pack a punch.

I'm thinking I may looking into the IC. I dont want the car to be super loud. I'm tired of that. haha

I think the IC in a nice tune will be something I'll be happy with for a week or so.... haha

Coming from a Mini? My buddy has an 06 R53 Cooper S right now. It takes way too many mods to squeeze any juice out of that little car but it's still wicked fast in the turns! I think I've seen you on M|U. I'm literally a few doors down from Myne's Tuning in Brea!

Downpipes and Tune have to be the best power makers for turbo cars and is seen in other cars besides the 135i like the Subaru WRX, STI, etc. Of course, the intercooler is always nice to have as well for those hot summer days especially for LA traffic in the SUMMER!!!
