The rename album option in my music collection on the iDrive is disabled..

When I downloaded some CD's to the hard drive of my '11 Z4is several were mislabeled or had no name on them. Owners manual says you can rename them but there is no "rename album" option on my menu like is pictured in the manual. I found one post from '09 that said the same. Anyone with any insight?

I have never changed the album name from original. That is what I would like to do. Do you know how to get to the edit function? Thanks.

I have no idea. Which ever one came in a Dec '10 build car. How can one find out which version is installed?

To access the Secret Menu:

1. Push down i-Drive knob for approx 8 sec
2. Turn right 3 clicks
3. Turn left 3 clicks
4. Turn right 1 click
5. Turn left 1 click
6. Turn right 1 click
7. Push down i-Drive knob

You should be able to browse few hidden setups, the last option leads you to the iDrive version...

Does this work for our CIC based iDrive systems? It does not seem to work for me and googling it I get the impression it is for the older CCC system.
