Anybody running snows yet?

I usually wait until Black Friday to put them on, thinking about doing it now. It's 50-60 during the day but the nights are getting cold. I've only seen 1 E46 M3 with snows so far.

lucky! I have my wife's Honda Fit to DD but I can't not drive my M3 for the whole season so I run winters for cold sunny days.

I mounted mine on Saturday during the snow storm lol was a easy 10-15min swap b/c I had my 2ton floor jack and impact wrench in my trunk from the previous trackday & also b/c if I didn't swap out I wasn't going to be able to get home...

after not driving my car for the past three winters and solely using my honda element beater during those winters I've given that up and will drive the M as much as possible during snow, sleet ect ect

Just ordered a pair of snow off another member on the sight...They should be hear in 1-2 weeks. Should I be concerned about my wheels getting scratched from the machine at a local shop when doing the switch?

what size? the thinner the sidewall the harder it is, I'm guessing you are running 18" so that's not too thin. Where in NJ are you?

I was going to get blizzaks like when i had my 330. But instead of buying a set of winter tires and rims im gonna spend that money and get a old toyota pickup! haha cant wait to bomb around in that thing come winter. And it will let me keep my baby in the garage and away from all that salt.

Just ordered my Conti DWSes. Had these on my 335i for 20 months and two winters, they did great. Hope they work just as well on the M.

I did the swap on Saturday, just in time for top-down driving on Sunday

Better safe than sorry, especially after my harrowing experience during the 10/30 snowstorm.

I didn't put mine on, checked the weather and mid 60's is a little too warm. Probably will just wait until the day after Thanksgiving.
