Suspension and General 1M Torque Specs
Any ideas where the best place is to find various torque specs (engine/suspension etc.) for the 1M ? Since some of the suspension is sourced from the M3 are you guys using those specs?
Thanks! |

Good question. Normally, when I work on my E46 I use my copy of the BMW TIS software that is on my computer in the garage which will auto-identify the vehicle and some options based on the last 7 digits of your VIN. However, I doubt it will recognize a 1M VIN because I downloaded the software before the car ever came out.
Just recently I found this website: http://tis.spaghetticoder.org/ It is basically an online copy of the BMW TIS software, but unfortunately there is no E82 or 1M subsection. My guess is that the latest copy of the TIS software should have the 1M specific info.

That will probably work for now in the short term, but I'm hoping BMW adds in 1M specific info on the next release of the TIS. You'd be surprised how many differences there can be in one model; production date, options, etc can change a lot of things.
