Broken Front Bumper Thingy
Hi guys,
I have a 2008 135i... I just noticed that my front bumper slit on the driver side is broken? Any suggestions on how I can fix or replace this part? Thanks for the input |

Try on here, I'm not sure of the exact part number though:

A while back a lot of folks were purposely removing these fins as a cosmetic DIY - myself included. I really dig the look; it opens the bumper up and reminds me a little of a 1M.

My 135 is black and I don't like how those dull black plastic vent look with the black paint. From a distaff it kind of blurs together to my eye which bugs me as I really like the lowest sections look on ther colored cars. I was trying to figure out what to do to set it off. I have considered wrapping the vents in that 3m carbon fiver final wrap or painting the a dark red or something like that. I am worried of it looking like rice. Anybody have any ideas or are there any existing solutions out there? What about paining a dark dull silver?

Do you have a front Fascia pic with/without those on there possibly? I'd like to see what that looks like.

Call the dealer. Mine broke as well and ordering it from the dealer was very simple, even over the phone. Part cost me about $25. Installation was a fucking pain in the ass. To do it right (which is through the rear of the bumper cover), you have to remove the entire front bumper. OR, you can do what I did and smash up the original to remove it then remove enough screws to be able to jimmy the new one into the space from the front instead of the back. It eventually snaps in. Definitely not an easy remove and replace.
