WTB: 135i coupe >=2009 <20,000km
Hi all,
This is my first post and hope it will lead to becoming a member of this community I recently almost purchased a 135i off forum member, IanF. I just missed out with another buyer making a stealth bank transfer deposit literally a couple of hours before I'd arranged to meet Ian with a deposit myself! Ian had been completely open about such a possibility and would have been a smooth transaction I'm sure had I got in first, but wasn't meant to be... Anyway I digress. My criteria for the car grouped by importance are: Required Model: 135i Coupe Year: 2009 or later Distance: <20,000km Transmission: Manual Options: Satnav / iDrive Highly desirable Colour: Alpine white Would be nice: Sunroof Tasteful mods including Procede / JB, suspension, LSD, carbon fibre bits, lighting etc. I am located in Brisbane but will consider purchasing interstate for the right car. Steve, click on the link in my sig to see all about my car which meets most of your criteria. I'm thinking of selling it.

Why don't you buy brand new and get the spec you want? Unless you're prepared to wait around a while until the "right" car comes up.

IMHO you'll be hard pressed to find a 3yr old car with less than 20,000km on the odo. Ianf's would be the exception, not the rule.

Steve84, have you done some reading about N54 vs N55?

I have done some reading. I understand that n54 has more options for tuning and can produce more power. I believe there are also potential HPFP problems, not sure how big a problem though?
My reason for wanting a later model with low KMs is I plan to keep the car for at least 5 years and want to minimise potential for expensive things breaking. Having the biggest HP isn't a huge requirement for me. From what I've read the n55 can produce numbers that I'm sure will still translate to plenty of fun |
