Definitely goto ACM and hear it in person. I was on the fence last Friday, that is until I heard a customer leaving with his newly modded exhaust. I made an appointment right there and then.
I'm getting mine installed at ACM tomorrow, feel free to come check it out. If you've never heard of them they are located in North Jersey and are a great group of guys. Very professional work, and very accommodating when it comes to scheduling - I highly recommend them. |

Is it generally accepted that the ideal way to do this is to keep the pipe geometry but remove the perforated pipes and stuffing?

I was one of the first people to jump on the OEM mod so I only had the perforated parts covered. but if you have a shop do it then remove the perforated part or you can do the ACM way. The original was covering or removing the perforated parts.

Alex I think you mentioned having a sound/video clip, if you do post it up As far as other shops, I am sure you can get it done cheaper at a random exhaust shop, but, personally I would never go that route just to save $100 because:
