E90 M3 Competition pack (ZCP) suspension components

Hoping someone has this on hand or knows where to find it. Searching but can't seem to find the part numbers for E90 M3 ZCP struts and springs.

Before the argument of "there are many aftermarket solutions" comes up, am wanting to stay OEM and would like to retrofit E90 M3 ZCP springs and struts (UK didn't get the option of ZCP for the E90 M3s unfortunately). Not looking at reprogramming EDC, this is purely a mechanical exercise.

Thanks in advance.

Assuming you have EDC, I believe these are the correct PN's :

http://realoem.com/bmw/showparts.do?...03&hg=31&fg=10

Front R&L strut : 31312284013 & 31312284014
Front Spring PN n/a

http://realoem.com/bmw/showparts.do?...17&hg=33&fg=45

Rear R&L shock : 33522284315
Rear spring PN n/a

Cheers thanks for that! Not sure how I missed it on RealOEM.

From memory springs are specific to chasis number isn't it?

I think so, but iirc the springs could also differ depending on the options installed on the car. I think that's why realoem says to check with the dealer for the correct PN for your particular car. Unfortunately that's won't be too helpful since you're in the UK, maybe someone else with a E90 ZCP can chime in here.

Correct. You need to submit your VIN to someone with access to a proper BMW catalog in order to find the appropriate spring PNs. I worked with scott@bmwhn on these forums -- try sending him a PM to see if he can pull the correct ZCP springs for you.

FYI, BMW also makes non-EDC ZCP struts, if you're interested in those as well.

I thought someone proved that the struts are the same, it's just different programming in the DSC/EDC controller that works the magic (and slightly shorter/stiffer springs)?

Struts have different PNs and prices, so something is different about them. As previously noted, the ZCP struts also come equipped standard on the 1M and the Japanese-market M3 whereas the non-ZCP ones don't. So again, something is different about these struts, it's just that no one has been able to determine what.

The different programming in the EDC simply changes the rebound rate for Sport mode from a static setting to a dynamic one. And the DSC change certainly doesn't impact ride height -- it just makes MDM a bit more lax.

Thanks for that, will drop Scott a line see if I can get the right PN.

BMW does not sell the M3 with ZCP without EDC, but they do make struts for such an application. Again, these are the struts that come equipped on the 1M and the Japanese-market M3.

That's quite interesting.

There must be some country where BMW sells a ZCP with optional EDC then, because those P/N are not labeled as an accessory, and share the same S7AA code regardless of EDC (EDC has its own S223A code regardless of ZCP).

Could be Japan, but BMW doesn't have a configurator up on its .jp site.
