Will HFCs pass emissions in NJ?

I get conflicting information, so I'd like to know if anyone who actually has this setup can chime in.

Thanks.

+1 for an answer
Worst comes to worse, one could keep oem xpipe and do a simple swap before inspection?

That's what I did - just in case I need to swap it. My inspection comes up in 2017...

Best I can offer you is this..
my car had the FabSpeed HFC into a FabSpeed X-Pipe inot stock cans and I never had ANY issues with emissions in NEW YORK, always passed 1st time around.
Is New Jersey MORE restrictive???

^^^ same here, as long as it doesnt come up with CEL, there shouldnt be any issue with emission, well at least here in NY, just dont see why Nj would not. In Ca would be a different story as they have a different/stricter regulation.

in NJ as long as your cars computer shows that the sensors are :ready: and not throwing a CEL you will pass.

I have heard of people using spark plug defoulers to space out the o2 sensors on straight pipes, I have heard of rigging up fake o2 sensors... point is NJ will not do a HC pipe test they just run it by computer. best bet is to get your system ready. and drive it for few hundred miles and if you dont get any CEL then you will be fine

No sh-t? That's great to know...might be time to order a challenge pipe with HFC's.

Thanks for that, yeah I wasn't sure since I'm new to NJ....in Vancouver (Canada) they hook up stuff to the exhaust which reads the air coming out.

I hear different info as well. Another forum members told me he passed, but a friend of his similar setup failed when the car was put on a roller. I guess it is safe to say that it depends on the place you go to?
