135I to 1M bodywork Complete Info w/ PN and pics
Enough people have asked for it so here it is. Venom and I's cars are 99% done and I feel comfortable that this list is complete.
This information couldn't have been completed without Sk8fe, Tony135i, Phil@Reeves BMW, Venom and I's hard work and time. Thanks to everyone who has contributed to this information. I have the PN's in groups. They are blocked off as I placed the orders for the parts. Do note, you need everything. 51-75-8-051-609 UNDERHOOD SHIELD 1 109.55 51-11-8-057-717 TRIM COVER, BUMP 1 308.53 51-12-8-052-495 BUMPER TRIM PANE 1 334.87 41-35-8-052-625 SIDE PANEL, FRON 1 238.49 41-35-8-052-626 SIDE PANEL, FRON 1 238.49 51-48-8-051-598 HEAT INSULATOR R 1 58.58 51-71-8-051-597 MULTIFUNCTIONAL 1 176.05 18-20-7-798-560 RUBBER MOUNTING 1 26.63 51-11-7-900-764 Grid, Center 51-11-8-051-613 Flap, Towing Eye, P 51-11-8-053-877 Set of Covers 51-77-8-052-517 Supporting Ledge Le 51-77-8-052-518 Supporting Ledge Ri 51-64-8-051-987 Headlight Bracket 51-64-8-051-988 Headlight Bracket 51-74-8-051-605 Air Duct, Engine Oi 51-74-8-051-606 Air Duct, Engine Oi 51-74-8-051-604 Air Duct, Bottom 51-71-8-051-595 Cover, WheelL Housi 51-71-8-051-596 Cover, WheelL Housi 51-71-8-045-553 Cover Left 51-71-8-045-554 Cover Right 51718051591 - Wheel Housing Bottom Left 51718051592 - Wheel Housing Bottom Right 51-13-8-051-601 Chrome Clip, Left 51-13-8-051-602 Chrome Clip, Right 51-77-8-053-879 Rocker Panel Trim 51-77-8-053-880 Rocker Panel Trim 51-13-8-051-817 Left Base 51-13-8-051-818 Right Base 51-75-8-051-609 Underhood shield 61-67-8-051-590 Windshield Cleaning Rear Bumper Support - These have the exhaust hangers for the 1M exhaust 51128051589 Carrier, bumper rear 51127131741 WASHER-GASKET Rear Bumper Side Brackets 51128051611 GUIDE LEFT 51128051612 GUIDE RIGHT M Door Sill - The ones on the car often break during install. My name is Venom and I approve of this message.
I would also like to thank Dan@UnitedBMW for giving me the part numbers for the exhaust mod. Do note that there was some custom work needed for our relay cables. We do not know what P/N that may be for an OEM relay cable. I would also like to add thanks to David M. of BMW of Concord Collision Center for diligently confirming the parts list and what other parts ended up being needed like the rear bumper caps and the rear bumper support bracket! It costs $8000 with labor and random other tidbits they opted for. Dont forget wheels and tires.

yep the 2500-3k does not account for body work, paint, and labor costs; it only accounts for the OEM parts listed here which have gone up a little in price since our purchase. All told, depending on the shop It's between 7k and 10k.
figure new wheels on top of that too because you won't want to run the high offset 1er wheels. I have a couple pictures on my build thread of how funky that looks. |

Hi All -
On our 135i race car, we're moving up in class, so I'm doing kind of 1M front conversion. https://www.facebook.com/sctsracing/...type=3&theater So far, I've only used the 1M front bumper, fenders and front fender liners, but we're a race car going to be in prepared class. For a nice street car, I can definitely see wanting to do the rocker panels and rear fender liners. You could easily fab a piece of plastic from the removed fender liners (and use the speed clips) to fill the 2 holes in between the front center undertray and the new 1M front fender liners

I don't know it, but thanks for posting that. Also, if possible I think this thread should be stickied since I see the topic posted quite a bit.

Note that for the rear wheels, to get 275x18 tires, Apex race parts makes an 18x9.5 et62 (that's right, 62mm offset) wheel to stuff into the OEM 135 rear fenders without doing that part of the conversion.
