will E46 M3 Exhaust manifold fit on my 2012 E82
I am contemplating changing the exhaust from the headers back (straight pipe) and making the 128 have dual exhaust like the 1M
I looked on the site briefly didnt really see anyone who did this yet I was wondering what sort of power gains i can get from something like this If you guys seen this done already post the link so i can check it out i was also concerned if i will get a check engine light if something like this is done any opinions and info on this would be greatly appreciated I have a 2012 128i Coupe Sports package Last edited by devestator; 04-08-2013 at 10:26 AM.. |

headers like Supersprint is what you are after
Minimum 20hp + 20 tq is fair to guess based on their z4 dyno See recent threads and search

E46 headers are a completely unrelated part for another engine. As Andrey said, Supersprint makes an excellent set for our cars.
I recently did a writeup of my install/experience with them: http://www.1addicts.com/forums/showthread.php?t=805784 Quad exhaust will require a new diffuser and rigging up some variety of hanger for the passenger side. Seems like a lot of work to fake a couple more tail pipes.

In addition to there being headers optimized for your engine (SS), they won't even begin to bolt up properly. Compare how the S54 headers bolt up to the engine as compared to the N52.
S54: N52:

Have to admit, the manifolds look very much a like. The V1 header for s54 also gets good gains so we get a slice of that design in n52
