How long did your car sit on the dock before it was loaded

My car got to the docks and was loaded the very next day. How long did others have to wait. I was expecting at least a week

If you mean at the port of export, this is a sore subject for me, as of today it has been idle for 27 days. The next vessel out leaves on Tuesday.

Accordingly the sales mgr has been in contact with the Eastern regional distribution office plus the export office (across the pond). Good news, all indications are the wait is not attributed to damage. Rather it has been the forgotten vehicle. Further details will be provided to me sometime tomorrow.

The crazy part, it took a total of 10 days to build, quality check and ship my M3 to the port of exit....idle for another 27 days.

Am I frustrated, yes. Depending on the information I receive tomorrow, this could easily move to anger and making a rash decision.

Yes - I meant the port of export. I was shocked the car got there on the May 8th and it was loaded on the ship May 9th - Sagittarius Leader which sailed the same day, headed to the panama canal expected to arrive on 5/23/13. Once through the Panama Canal its on to the Port in California expected arrival is June 7. The it goes to the VPC then back on a ship to bring it to Hawaii.

Hope you get loaded without further delay. A least its a short trip across the Atlantic and only has to go on one ship. I bet you get your car before I get mine. Hope so for your sake. Just not right 27 days - that's nuts

Not trying to put salt in the wound, but I can't believe how badly they have botched this up. How do they lose a car, what is the Home Alone: BMW M3 version? Next thing there will be some hapless car thieves trying to strip the car for parts, but can't seem to figure out how to bypass the wheel locks.

Hopefully it gets on Tuesday and BMWNA/BMW AG give you a boatload of freebies when it finally arrives.

Just to give you an idea of how messed up this is, I believe our cars arrived at the port within a day and I am taking delivery this Tuesday (could have been as soon as Saturday but I was out of town).

Good luck and keep us all updated.
