Midland, TX anybody?

I see a few M's around town, didn't know if we had any members on here.

I've been there once - much too dry for my tastes. We've been in Tulsa for 10 years now (my wife and I are both in E&P) - they call it "Green Country".

Enjoy the car once it gets in! You might have to check out the 4 Corners meet...

haha I'm not surprised, I actually see far more m6's and x5m's compared to the m3...and yes it is very very dry out here, when I tell people where I'm from they tell me that Midland was where they saw their first tumble weed

Yes, thanks to the booming economy out here I am doing okay, and thankfully this isn't going to be my daily driver, but avoiding dust storms out here is a bit impossible...washing it with our hard water is what I'm most concerned about.

Haha I'm a native myself, I moved away for college and a few years after but its lured me back. Playing with horny toads was always fun, though I think it would have been nice to have some trees that were big enough to climb in

True, some good climbing trees would have been nice. Dad was in the industry so living in Midland was my longest stay until I graduated from high school. Like being in the military!

Didn't think about that! Going to have to buy an industrial RO system or something...

A friend's kid did a science experiment growing seedlings in all kinds of different water. The one fed on Midland tap was not pretty.

I did some testing on my Jetta this weekend. I went to Ace and picked up a water filter for an RV and it tied directly into my hose and no water spots...I was quite shocked, last time I tried washing it myself it was an epic fail.
