BMW F10 M5 343M wheels maintenance
Hi,
My BMW dealership never told me, but I was hoping to gather some information from this forum, but how long do the 20'' 343M Michellin Pilot Super Sports tires last? Probably not very long.... Last edited by quintics; 07-26-2013 at 08:24 PM.. |

Actually, tread wear has been rather astounding for most. Many seem to be running strong north of 10k miles - and these aren't folks who baby the car.
Alternatively, you can do one DE track event and trash them at 7k like I did

Also, can I fit lower-end tires after the first set wear out? Are the rims bespoke to the rubber? Because I'm not looking forward to shelling out $4k for each set of tires (especially because BMW maintenance plan doesn't include rubber)

OP, you are in US right ?
I can't see why a set of 4 Michelin PSS would cost $4K. Even where I am, in Canada, it costs only $2000 Cdn or about the same in US $ (incl. taxes, installation, balancing) |

What tires are standard on the M5? How much do the standard tires cost? Edit: I am in USA.

tirerack.com is your general price reference.
I think the oem setup for Michelin PSS will run you about $1500 US and if you buy from there, then pay another couple hundreds to have them installed @ your local garage or tire shop. |

Thanks a lot! I found them too. Do you think I should go for the Michelin PSS or Pirelli P Zero?
