M4 pricing in Canada
Does anyone have an idea of what the pricing might be for M4's they are available to order in January 2014? How much will the base price go up? Any speculation on the packages that might be available? I'm thinking that the pricing will be similar to current pricing for the E92. Canada is very unique for pricing to wanted to get some input on it.

I am seriously hoping that the M3/M4 will not go up too much if at all in Canada.
I have posted this previously, the F10 M5 dropped by about $15k CDN (from $115 to $100k compared to the E60 M5 when it was introduced. There is a similar price drop in the M6 price. This is what gives me hope . Hopefully the strength of the Canadian dollar will have a positive impact for us . |

If I had to guess, I'm gonna say M3 would MSRP for about $72K, and the M4 would MSRP for about $75K.
Still cheaper than the RS5, but more expensive than the C63 AMG, as per the usual heirarchy of pricing between Audi, mercedes, and bmw on these kind of cars. Anyone else have a deposit down yet? |

The price of the 4 series coupes went up less than a grand in Canada. I'm expecting the price for the M4 to be almost unchanged from what it is now.

M4 should be around 70 base I hope they lower it . If much over 70 I will probably pick up a C7 I know its American but should be good around track.

I see it starting around $75k, then with options I expect it to be around $85k. Still more expensive than the C63 but I'm not sure about the 507 Edition though.

$75k base sounds reasonable considering that it is what a base E92+DCT goes for today (the F82 should have DCT as standard with 6MT a no cost option). On the E9X it also seems that a base car in Canada has more equipment standard that was optional in the US (heated seats, electric seats, etc...). But I also believe that there will be more options on the F8X that will bring the fully optioned price over $90k.

I expect in Canada fully optioned with some new Comp. pack it'll be $100k Cdn.
Used GT3 or GT3 RS is $115k USD. Think about that....new turbocharged M4 or a normally aspirated classic GT3. |

Further, as much I love the GT3, it is not the same category of car. The ///M is much more flexible as a DD, cargo hauler, road trip, night out, family, track car compared to the GT3. |

Truly horrendous gas mileage, hard suspension even on comfort and pretty loud in the cabin all the time. It's brutal in any real winter climate with low clearance and frost heave roads. My experience is its a sh*t DD car. The trunk has a lower lip that is too high to fit anything significant in and getting a set of clubs in is tight too. It's at best a good summer car but DD I'd have to disagree from my 5 years of ownership. GT3 is not a DD car but that's not my intent of it since again I don't think the M3 is much better. If I lived in Vancouver it might be better to drive but gas there is outrageous. |

with the carbon brakes and various other options the F80 M3 will get well into 6 figs.

Much more comfortable with the Magnetic Ride Control suspension system, usable rear seats (at least in the Sedan model), much more powerful(6.2L SC V8 and a very good Brembo brake setup), and similar or better luxury/comfort/entertainment(Bose speakers, vented seats, etc) features. After driving both vehicles on a daily basis for a while, the only cons I can think of when comparing the CTS-V sedan to M3 Coupe/Sedan is: 1. Slightly worse gas mileage, 2. Possibly higher deprecation, 3. Many people think Cadillac is an old man's brand, or simply prefer the BMW badge. |

If things go well for me, I would keep my 335xi winter and get the M4 for summer. I just don't like the idea of driving a 400hp RWD car during winter. Plus I snowboard need to go to the mountains.
