New 135i Owner in Houston TX
Just picked up a Black/Black 2008 135i w/DCT. Loving it so far. I'm coming from a 2011 Genesis Coupe 6spd. Needed an Auto so I could occasionally switch cars with my wife. So I figured the 135i would be perfect. The GenCoupe just wasn't fast enough even after mods.
Here is a pic.. And here is a pic of what I'm coming from... |

2008 MY comes with a six speed auto not DCT.
Nice pick up nonetheless. How does it compared to the Genesis?

Its smaller! lol. Its definitely faster than my 3.8 in the Genesis Coupe. The Genesis was fun to drive and great to look at. Its just not as refined as the BMW of course. Some annoying interior rattles, squeaky seats, and lack of aftermarket are what I was tired of.
I'm still getting used to driving an auto so i'm still not ready to fully compare. One thing is for sure BMW Navigation sucks. |

I believe the navigation was upgraded in 2009. Don't let the BMW name fool you...we have our fair share of squeaks and rattles. Have fun, you will love it!

True. One thing I have to change are the side mirrors on the BMW. Driver side has brown stain and passenger side is starting to stain. Kinda annoying since the mirrors are so small to begin with. Looks like I have auto dim, heated mirrors so it may be pricey to replace. May just get the heated ones and not plug it in unless someone knows where I can get some cheap ones.

If the small mirrors bug you, you might be able to swap out for the post-facelift (MY 2010+ I think?) mirrors. That's assuming you meant the housing, not the glass itself - although neither part is cheap, glass is still cheaper. They're not as good looking as the old ones, but even they are barely big enough to be useful.
