Hi all,

I am putting my 2011 M3 Sedan on the market for sale. Mileage is ~46,xxx miles; Price is $45,999 OBO.

Price Drop on Jan 30th: $42,999

Location: San Diego, CA 92121 (UTC area)
Email me at zcchen.e46@gmail.com please.

It is Alpine White on Cloth/Leather. It has ZCP and DCT. Other than these, there is no option (no i-Drive, no Premium Pack, no seat heat, no radar, etc.). Of course, it doesn't even have a sunroof; it is a slick top! It is about as light as an M3 can get. I particularly like the fact that it has no i-Drive, a huge bright screen in my face while I am driving. Manually adjusted seats take a little time to adjust to and not having memory function does cause frustrations, although nothing major to a true car enthusiast.

It is still under warranty and covered by maintenance package. Oil change service done at around 44,xxx miles; brake service, fluid, all rotors and pads, at around 46,xxx miles. Both warranty and maint. pack. expire at 50,000 miles. However, if you purchase my car before that mileage, you are eligible to purchase extensions for both through the dealer.

The overall condition of the car is great. But my words mean next to nothing so I encourage potential buyers to come check out the car in person. There are minimal rock chips on bumper or hood and few rashes on stock ZCP wheels. Interior is clean. No rib or cut or even wrinkles.

There are a few mods (if they even count):
1, Motorsport Hardware stud conversion with 17mm nuts;
2, Black front and side grilles;
3, BMC stock replacement filter;
4, GTS DCT software, Euro MDM traction control and other misc. coding;
5, 10mm wider tires: 255/275 35 19 Michelin Pilot Super Sport tires on stock ZCP wheels (Bought brand new at ~45,000 miles);
6, Primary catalyst converter delete with Akrapovic delete-R unit installed to suppress check engine light (stock X-Pipe, complete separate unit, included with sale);
7, Uninstalled, a set of KW sleeve kit (included with sale, willing to part out too).

Although not included in this sale, I have a set of track wheels/tires: APEX Satin Black ARC-8 wheels 18x10et25 and 18x10.5et27, Hankook RS3 tires 275/285 35 18, TPMS and also one pair of 5mm Macht Schnell spacers for either the front or rear. Buyers of my car has the option to buy this package for $800. However, I am also willing to part out the whole package (not splitting at this moment) for $1,200.

I have tracked this car only once since I do have another dedicated track car. It was at Willow Springs International Raceway road course (Big Willow). I ran 1:36.xxx on the PSS. I had the car detailed right after the event. I am doing another track day with this car tomorrow at Buttonwillow Raceway. Like last time, I will have the car detailed on Monday. I normally run with NASA, so I would rather lose 2 seconds per lap than go off and get lessoned for hours. As a result, I never went off track in this car and I will follow the same principles tomorrow, so buyers be assured.

If you have doubts, please feel free to contact me. I will try my best to answer all of your questions. Again my email is zcchen.e46@gmail.com

Please see the end of this post for some pictures. As of Jan 26th, I only have a few to prove my ownership and give you a general sense of the car. I will post detail pictures by Feb 1st.

I love this car, but I am selling it to buy another car I love. All good things must come to an end. I would rather it end now when I still think highly of it and feels sweet about this car.

There is nothing wrong with this model. Rationally, this is almost the best car money can buy:
-the versatility of a 4 door sedan;
-the 8,400rpm high revving and sweet sounding NATURALLY ASPIRATED V8 engine;
-the lightning fast DCT;
and the list goes on.

My particular car is more special since it has no luxurious option. To me, it is neither an advantage nor a disadvantage. However it does take the right buyer to appreciate its value . As a result, I am not charging more for less like Porsche always does, but neither am I discounting my car.

If you have read this far, you must be interested in my car. If so, please email me at zcchen.e46@gmail.com . You can buy this amazing car with only 46,xxx miles for $45,999. Feel free to make me offers. However, please only make me offers in person. If you just send me a PM or eMail offering $40,000, of course I will consider you to be insincere and I will not want to work with you on the numbers. However, if you come hang out and make me an offer with your reasons why that is a good one, I might just take the offer. I would never want money to be an issue preventing a good owner from owning a great car .

Thank you for your time and I look forward to hearing back from you!

Johnson

P.S. Please do not post irrelevant (DCT vs 6MT) or negative ("overprice") comments here.

Bump!

Just got back from Buttonwillow. 2:03 for a bone stock car on RS3s. It is one hell of a car! Never skipped a single beat. It's a bit weird that I would track the car after posting it for sale. However, I think it is the best way to show that the car is in great mechanical condition!
It is getting detailed tomorrow and probably parked. Maybe I will DD may track car for a few days :P

Yeah, most sellers like to advertise that a car has never been tracked. Hahahaha

Why lie about it? I love tracking! It's not like it would damage the car more than hella flushing it

It takes the right buyer. If it's an honest and enthusiastic guy who appreciates my car, I won't let price turn him away. I welcome offers but only in person.

what time does a fully-loaded M3 run? What is the time difference between your "lightweight" car and car with i-drive and/or options??

It is highly dependent on the driver. There was a M3 with Brembo BBK, APR wing and KW Clubsport that ran 2:05.

To be honest, I don't know. I think the time difference will be about 1 sec. The main difference would come from the slick top and manually adjusted non heated seat. Unfortunately, I do not have the resources to perform a controlled experiment for you. All I can say is that knowing my car being slightly lighter than other M3s makes me happy

IDrive should not be all that heavy. I just do not like a huge bright screen in my face while I am driving. non-IDrive car has much better view of the front. Without the distraction, nothing takes away the pleasure of driving it even during everyday commutes.

After going through the listings on here, I have realized I overestimated the price of my car earlier. Anyways, I have dropped the price to $42,999. If it does not sell at this price, I would just keep it. After all, it is a great car that I love

Awesome car!

I think I have seen this car before... In one of the pictures are you having it shown at UCSD? On Library Walk?

If so I believe I have seen this car there before... Back in 2011?
