ED and Oktoberfest???
Just curious if anyone has done Euro Delivery during Oktoberfest? Seems like it could be a good trip. Thoughts/tips?

Yes, all kinds of people.
Personally, I would not do it as my goal is to drive my new BMW around Europe, not sit around Munich drinking beer. To each his/her own. Book soon if you are going. |

Hotels are much more expensive in Munich during the festival. I had a great time and met many people from all over the world just walking the streets\eating\drinking in Munich.

I am planning mine for the fest
I have been to the Oktoberfest many times and I am hoping the stars can align for an October 1-3 pickup at the welt. Currently have spot 1 for an M3 at my dealer.
The fest is a lot of fun, but you need to plan far in advance. The best deal is to use your hotel points (if you have them). We scored rooms at the le meridian (best location) with Starwood points several times as well as the hilton and holiday in express. Otherwise rooms in the city are going to be pushing 500+ per night. Unless you have a large group don't bother with a reservation. You can camp in one of the big tents around 5pm and hang out ordering beers off tables of friendly neighbors after the lock the doors. After 6-7pm most of the popular tents are locked due to capacity. I did see a hotel on Facebook was offering a table reservation/room combo for ~500-600. Might be reasonable if you are paying market prices for the hotel and want to take the stress out of your first trip to the fest. Cheers |

Found the hotel

Hotel is in a good location relative the fest and other sites. I would call them and make sure the reservation is for the evening. Otherwise you don't need a reservation during the day There are plenty of open tables, at least during the week. |

Interesting....
I wasn't sure if taking delivery over the time frame of an enormous festival could make the trip all that more incredible or more of a pain in the ass. I've always wanted to checkout Oktoberfest and thought ED could be a wonderful addition over doing 2 trips. |
