Ryan Amico @ Bob Smith BMW - Still the best

I purchased my M3 for Euro Delivery through Ryan Amico when he was with Steve Thomas BMW back in 2011. It was a great experience all around and I couldn't have been happier with the deal.

Fast forward 3 years and it is time to get the future wife into a new car. She was wanting a 328i, so I did all the necessary research into the packages and pricing. I knew that Ryan had moved to Bob Smith BMW, but we didn't really want to order one and wait so I decided to look around at local inventory. I found what appeared to be a great match at McKenna BMW and since I'd be in the area within a couple days I thought it may work out. I emailed them for pricing, but didn't actually ever receive a quote until after I'd actually left their dealer a few days later. I spent quite a bit of time haggling with them on the price of the vehicle. It was clear we weren't going to be close on price so I walked, but was then met in the parking lot with the "final" pricing. After agreeing on the sale price (which I still thought was about $500 too high, but just wanted to get it done) they printed up the paperwork and I found that they hadn't included the destination charge in the sale price. They also decided to up the money factor from the base rate which is interesting since I asked them what the base rate was and she has perfect credit. I was then treated disrespectfully when I challenged them on it. I was asked "What? You can't afford an extra $50 per month?" Seriously? I drive in with an M3 and am asked that? Give me a break. It was a matter or pricipal and it was a bad deal. So, we left and now I have an upset fiance on my hands because she thought she had a new car all wrapped up. Perfect. Partially my mistake for attempting to haggle with her present.

So, I went home and emailed Ryan Amico, which is exactly what I should have done to begin with. Within a day he found me a car that was nearly identical in options and got me his quote. Over the life of the lease the deal will save us nearly $2000 over the "deal" at McKenna. They got the car within 24 hours and she was driving home happy as can be.

As always Ryan was a pleasure to work with. We were treated with respect and were given honest numbers without hidden fees or dealer games. Any questions I had were answered directly and there was no pressure at all.

Next time I'll think twice before going elsewhere.

I hope to get my future BMW from Ryan as well, I've heard many good things since he moved to Bob Smith.
