MPE Install Question

Hi All, bought an E92 MPE.

2 Questions

When I installed my E-SPORT on my E90 a few years ago, it was the rear mufflers only. I just received my MPE and its the rear muffler, plus the connecting pipes. Is this normal, and do I have to install the connecting pipes?

I had the install done at the local stealer. I do hear some "vibration" noises at takeoff which is a bit embarrassing. I'm assuming they can make some adjustments?

Attached pic is what I had installed. It was supposed to be brand new from BMW, I'm assuming that is the case.

thanks

Yes, when you install this, the oem muffler will come off and the connecting pipes will be attached as it is one piece.

What you got is correct! And just make sure everything is tightened up. With the expansion an contraction with heat, its best to always double and triple check all is tight.

Ok, thanks. I'm not sure I'm digging the sound. It sounds like it "echo's" the engine note. Where with my previous exhaust setups it sounded like the engine was exhaling through the rear pipes.

I have to say I'm on the disappointed side...

Maybe I'll give it a few weeks before I decide.

MPE will sound diff/louder as it breaks in. Older the better

MPE definitely won't give you a lot of bass sound like some of the other exhausts, and will take on a nice exotic sounding note over 4000 rpm that's fairly unique. I'm very fond of the sounds it makes.

I just got mine installed last Friday. It had the connecting pipes included. I really love the sound. If you're having weird noises and vibrations I'd be double checking that install job. I don't hear anything like that with mine.
