135i Road Noise

Went for a big country run in my new baby. I really love the way this thing eats up km/h for overtaking even in stock form. Anyway does everyone else's have bad wind noise at anything over 80km/h? It seems to be coming from the windscreen. I mean its ok when the music is cranked but seems over the top to me.

Mine has very little wind noise at cruising speeds, maybe the window seals need looking at?

If you have the older style side mirrors before they changed to the "dumbo" ones, I bet it's coming from one of the side mirrors. On my 2008, whenever I went over about 60 mph, I'd get this annoying whistling noise from my passenger side mirror. It's a design flaw and sometimes mine wouldn't do it if the wind was just so, but it was doing it from day 1. But, pretty sure that's why they went with the dumbo ones from 2010 on I believe it is.

I think there may be some threads on here about it, I know some people did various things from packing foam or something into it and other things to alleviate it. The dealer is likely to be unhelpful and my local a-hole one said it was a windshield seal even though I said it wasn't coming from the windshield, and they replaced the windshield on my 4 week old car which did nothing of course, so I gave up and lived with it for years.

Other options might be switching to the dumbo version or perhaps doing the 1M side mirror retrofit which looks great. I know that whistling noise well though, so I feel your pain.

Not wind noise but weirdly enough I notice the rain drops on my windscreen being louder than any other car I've driven (???)

I wonder if its stronger than glass. I have seen a Russian dashcam of someone dying cause a brick from a truck went through their glass windscreen.

Its on youtube, do not watch it, most disturbing thing I have come across

Def not the mirrors I pushed them back against the car (which is a challenge at 110 km/h) and the wind noise was the same. Maybe the plastic windscreen is noisy? It seem shorty and upright for windscreen to me not very tapered back.

I believe the wind noise is from door windows not sealing correctly.
