Mo@BMWofFairfax wroteThe "new" shifter is actually available from MY2019 X1s. So it is not exactly part of the LCI.Best part of the refresh is the new shifter.

I thought the X2 M35i was a good indicator that the X1 might get similar treatment. The X2 M35i is such a fun car.
ynguldyn wroteSay it ain't so! I was holding out for that model to replace my wife's family car. I know the engine is transverse mounted, but couldn't they have at least offered the same engine output as the new 330i?Ilyam5 wroteX1 M35i may not ever exist. I seem to recall a report that a PHEV version would come with the LCI. No word on this, yet.

The press release has been updated. The U.S. will have a standard 8.8" screen and not a 6.5" screen as the original text stated.

Anddddddddd still no Blind Spot Monitoring. You're telling me they couldn't add two little radars and a computer module into this? You can buy a DIY kit on Amazon...

Been waiting for its release for a while. Now I'm sure I did the right choice by ordering the X3 . Pure disapointment this X1. Same old interior and Idrive6, exterior looks better though.

i like the new changes. But unfortunately it still has the worst driving dynamics of any BMW currently made. It also looks like they've kept those terrible stock seats as standard.

This thing has better exterior styling than the new X5 and X3. What the?? Tail lamps look better than X5's and grille better than X3's. Not sure why BMW is doing this.

what Lousy ad copy..
" Today, BMW announces the updated 2020 X1 Sports Activity Vehicle. Since its introduction in 2015, the X1 has gone on to become BMW’s best-selling X vehicle worldwide. In the U.S., the X1 is the third most popular X model, behind the X3 and X5.
The X1 was not introduced in 2015... ( X1 was actually introduced MUCH before these models,
as there was an E84 version)... The SECOND generation (F48) X1... was introduced in 2015....
Honesty, integrity, accuracy, and truth clearly mean little when it comes to BMW Advertising...
Of course.. . for the updated Second Gen model.. the idea of a " Launch video " is 5 years late.. but hey... marketing just got around to the fact that they have an X1 so...
And then there is the REAL marketing speak.... terms like " hexagonal iconography "
And sentences with fragments..
" The BMW xDrive system, available on the X1 xDrive28i, works with the DSC Dynamic Stability Control system to transfer power to the rear wheels when it is needed, to reduce understeer in turns, improve traction when going uphill, on slippery surfaces and during more spirited driving. "

bmwx3805 wroteWill it offer blind spot monitoring?

JRobUSC wroteSo, no iDrive 7.0, no digital dash, no blind spot monitor, no driving assistance systems. But it projects X1 on the ground now and the front bumper looks better. Gotcha. *♂️

FCBayernFTW wroteX3 has driving assistant, digital dash, not sure about the idrive...Why would they give it all that before the x3?

05-30-2019
So brand new LCI but no digital dash? Or is it me that's missing something? I know it's a LCI modem and not brand new but the interior doesn't look like it's the same new-gen as the new 3-Series

Yesterday I saw on the configurator that the New facelift can be ordered. I went into dealer today and was told my car had moved today to in build. The dealer has allowed me to switch to the new facelift with a delivery of Sept instead of the pre-facelift due in July. I can now have a paler Storm grey and MSport brakes which I wanted at first. Happy Days.
